Paid To Promote: earning from the visitors you send

By the SurfFlux team · Updated 2026-10-30

Paid To Promote, or PTP, flips the usual earning model around. Instead of viewing ads yourself, you get a personal link and earn when other people open it and pass a short check. You are paid for the visitors you bring, not for your own clicks.

How Paid To Promote sites work

  1. You get a unique PTP link.
  2. You share it anywhere visitors might click it: your blog, a forum signature, social media.
  3. A visitor opens the link and lands on a short validation page.
  4. If the visit qualifies, you earn a reward. If it looks automated or fraudulent, you earn nothing.

The site sells those validated visits to advertisers as traffic. That is why PTP sites care so much about quality: an advertiser who receives bot traffic stops buying.

"Paid to promote" also gets used for influencer deals, where brands pay creators to post about a product. That is a different thing. PTP sites pay per qualifying visit to a link and have nothing to do with endorsing products.

What makes a PTP visit count

Every site has its own rules, but they usually look at the same things:

  • how long the page stays visible,
  • whether the visitor is a real browser and not a script,
  • where the visitor came from,
  • whether the same person or network already visited.

Sending the link to traffic exchanges, autosurfs or bot services is the fastest way to get a PTP account banned.

How SurfFlux PTP works

The SurfFlux Paid To Promote program follows this model with a few specific rules (as of October 2026):

  • A link is issued only after you accept the PTP terms.
  • A visitor must keep the validation page actively displayed for at least 7 seconds.
  • Your first 50 evaluable visits are a probation period and pay 3% of the corresponding advertiser rate. Very poor or non-human traffic pays nothing.
  • Rewards are pending for 24 hours before they settle.
  • Pay depends on the visitor's country tier and your traffic quality rating.

The visitors you send are then offered to advertisers as PTP traffic, which they can buy as a campaign.

Is PTP worth it?

It is worth it if you already have a place where people click links: a blog in a related niche, an active forum profile or a community you run. It is not worth buying traffic to resell through PTP. Validation is designed to catch exactly that.

  • Clear published rules on what counts as a valid visit.
  • A probation or quality system, which shows the site takes fraud seriously.
  • A low withdrawal minimum, so you can test whether it pays.
  • An honest description of where the traffic goes.
