10KHits alternative
10KHits is a traffic exchange that has been around since 2011. You earn points by viewing other members' sites and spend them on visits to yours. This page explains how it works and when an alternative might fit better. We are not affiliated with 10KHits; this site is published by the SurfFlux team.
How 10KHits works
10KHits uses its own surfing software. You install it, it shows other members' sites, and each visit of about 10 seconds earns points. You then spend points on visits to your own pages and can set things like hits per hour and visit length.
According to independent overviews:
- New accounts get a small number of free points, which you can use after surfing a set number of pages.
- The free account covers the basics.
- A paid upgrade, listed at $29 per month, adds geo-targeting, a bounce rate reducer and custom traffic sources.
- Referrals earn extra points.
Strengths
- Long track record for a traffic exchange.
- Lightweight software.
- Control over visit settings.
Limits
- Fixed short visits push bounce rates up.
- Low conversion, as with all exchange traffic.
- Country targeting costs extra.
When a 10KHits alternative makes sense
You need country targeting without a monthly plan. Look for exchanges that price targeting per campaign. On SurfFlux, PTC campaigns can target up to five countries for a surcharge on that campaign only.
You would rather earn crypto than points. On SurfFlux, a website traffic exchange that pays in Dogecoin, the DOGE you earn can pay for your own campaigns or be withdrawn through FaucetPay.
You want pages opened in a normal browser. SurfFlux opens campaigns in real tabs through a browser extension or as PTC ads with a visible timer.
Quick comparison
| 10KHits | SurfFlux | |
|---|---|---|
| Currency | Points | DOGE |
| Software | Own surfing app | Browser extension, or none for PTC |

Whichever you choose, keep exchange traffic away from AdSense pages and use it for testing and impressions rather than sales.
